We love to share our passion for dance with our students and we strive to create a positive teaching environment

Meet the Team
Highly Skilled ISTD Teachers

Both Miss Paula and Miss Grace dedicate themselves to being the very best dance, performing arts and fitness teachers they can be. They regularly attend classes for themselves, along with many CPD courses covering a variety of subjects. As a school, we pride ourselves on raising confident, happy students who support each other in the development of their rounded performance education.

Miss Paula
Co-Director

Miss Paula began her dance training at 3 years old, within her local dance school, where she performed in multiple performances as ensemble and character roles. She progressed quickly through graded tap and ballet syllabi.

At 13 she began training full time at stonelands Performing Arts School in Brighton, gaining excellent technical training, along with more stage performances as a dancer, actress and singer.

Since leaving Stonelands Miss Paula has danced within centres of excellence for dance training, and attended full time college. Here she gained her ISTD dance teaching qualifications, under the guidance of some the best ISTD teachers and examiners in the UK.

Miss Paula completed her training in 2012 and has continued to attend CPD courses, gaining her 'progressing ballet technique' qualified teacher status. In class, she focuses on the children enjoying the dance genre while providing the best training possible.

Miss Grace
Co-Director

Miss Grace’s love of dance began as a young child at The Hawthorns School, where she excelled through her ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern syllabi and graded Jazz Awards.

From the age of 10 she competed in local dance festivals and performed in professional pantomimes. She secured a place at Songtime Theatre Arts Company, where she established a solid foundation by receiving excellent technical training in stage craft, vocals, acting and dancing. She performed in a number of productions and was nominated for Best Newcomer and Best Achievement Awards.

She successfully auditioned for Italia Conti Theatre Arts Centre, where her ISTD teacher training began. Miss Grace holds her full DDE Teaching Qualification and is currently advancing her qualifications by attending courses with Dance Teachers Inc. Miss Grace is also recognised as a fully certified and qualified Acrobatic Dance Teacher.

Miss Grace’s vision is to share her passion for dance within a positive teaching environment, enabling all of her students to enjoy learning to dance and to achieve their full potential.

Our testimonials

a great role model is always helpful...

Grace, from Willow Dance and Fitness, has been leading tap dance sessions for key stage two children at Reigate St Mary's this year and these extracurricular classes have gone down extremely well with the children and their parents. Not only do the children seem to have made tremendous progress in their dance skills but they really enjoy the sessions and are excited about performing in front of friends and families. Grace is extremely well organised, a real hit with the children (a great role model is always helpful) and is always sensitive to the needs and constraints of the school, working well with colleagues and communicating clearly with parents.  I highly recommend Grace and the dance school."
